Someone in the local Volvo group was in a crazy accident the other day. He and his band (4 people total) were driving back from a show (that’s their trailer too) when they basically had a run in with a semi and guardrail. All 4 walked away. They were all released from the hospital within 48 hours. I don’t understand how Volvo did it. More pics below
Here’s a pic from the scene. The full story hasn’t been told just yet, the guys are still in shock.
This really makes me miss Volvo ownership.

As I have repeatedly said - I will almost certainly never have to buy a car again in my life. But if I had to, it’d be a big box full of airbags, a Volvo. I’m a big fan of walking away from a crash.

As much as I hate “Volvo drivers” that car did its job!

My mom once survived a blowout and a rollover into a ditch at 70mph in a 1980s Fiesta, are those safe cars now?

This is why I can’t wait to be driving a Volvo again in a year or so

Poor guy just spent so much time giving the engine a full overhaul too.
Don’t think there’s any chance this one is being saved.

Compared to cars from the 1960s? Yes they are. Safety is relative.

On second thought, I bet it will start right up in the junkyard:

Holy shit, incredible!
This
happened near me today. For a while they couldn’t report if/who had died because they couldn’t find the bodies. Scary stuff.
